A summer health campaign begins this week to help with diet, fitness, diabetes prevention and care, access to health care, healthy aging and women’s health.
Available through a digital tool, known as Univision’s Reto 28, the campaign is meant to encourage the Hispanic community to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
Currently, there are more than 350,000 registered users enrolled in the campaign and 15,000 members via the Reto 28 Facebook group.
There are numerous educational opportunities also available.
Go Red Por Tu Corazón’s national volunteers Chef Hamlet Garcia and fitness expert Maria Guerra, will be featured on the site and social media through videos, providing healthy cooking, eating and fitness tips. Also, there will also be numerous community health fairs across the country, where CPR, cooking and fitness demonstrations, as well as blood pressure screenings will be offered.
