American Heart Association CEO Nancy Brown has been appointed to the board of directors of the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care.
Brown also serves as co-chairperson of C-TAC’s Steering Committee, a role she has held since the organization was founded in 2011. She was a panelist at C-TAC’s 2013 National Summit on Advanced Illness Care and was keynote speaker at the organization’s national stakeholder meeting in September 2012. Based in Washington, D.C., C-TAC is dedicated to the ideal that all Americans with advanced illness, especially the sickest and most vulnerable, receive comprehensive, high-quality, person- and family-centered care that is consistent with their goals and values and honors their dignity.
C-TAC has more than 100 member organizations, including the American Heart Association. Their 14-member board includes leaders from healthcare, business, academia, faith-based institutions, and other sectors.
